Dot Dot Dot lets people who do great volunteering live as property guardians in buildings that would otherwise be empty. We turn empty buildings from a blight into an asset for property owners, guardians and local communities. Dot Dot Dot offers landlords a secure, flexible and cost-effective way to protect empty properties. We place people who are committed to voluntary work in these buildings on a temporary basis as property guardians. Property guardians take care of the building they live in, and are willing to move out at short notice when required, receiving cheaper housing in return. By reducing guardians’ living costs – and by providing support for their volunteering – we enable them to give more time and to have a greater impact in the areas and cities where we work. Landlords receive reliable, flexible and cost-effective security for their voids, whilst communities avoid the blight that empty homes cause. Dot Dot Dot is a social enterprise. This means that we are a business that is set up to address social or environmental needs – our commitment to making communities safer and stronger is at the heart of everything we do.
