It's about reading a road sign, a tweet, a job application form. You could work with us to help children develop the reading skills they need to succeed in school and beyond. To become confident adults. To build a better future. Bookmark is a start-up charity with a fresh approach. Our innovative, cost-effective digital platform matches schools with safeguarded, vetted and trained volunteers in their local community. During our flexible, six-week reading programmes volunteers visit a local primary school twice a week for one-to-one, 30-minute reading sessions. They can arrange sessions at convenient times, so it's an easy way to fit volunteering around work or other commitments, and develop new skills.
