DESCRIPTION

Northampton College has become one of the larger general Further Education colleges in the region with approximately 10,000 students, a turnover of over £28 million, nearly 600 permanent members of staff and another 300 working on a flexible basis. It offers a broad range of full-time and part-time courses, many funded by the Education Funding Agency (EFA) and the Skills Funding Agency (SFA). In addition, it provides Higher Education courses in conjunction with the University of Northampton, and provides support for a range of other organisations including the voluntary sector. Ofsted has endorsed the achievement of Northampton College’s highest ever success rates, recording a judgement of ‘Good’ for overall effectiveness as an outcome of its latest inspection in February 2013.
