DESCRIPTION

Square Chapel in Halifax is a grade II* listed building that was rescued from ruin in 1988 by a group of enthusiasts. They formed a charitable trust, gradually restored the building and brought it back into use as a vibrant centre for the performing arts. Over the last twenty years the people of Halifax have taken Square Chapel to their hearts and pour into the building for concerts, theatre, lectures, tea dances, comedy, conferences, band rehearsals, dance classes, piano club and dozens of other activities serving all sections of the populations.
