ubu provides community-based, health and social care to people with particular needs, including physical, emotional, learning, behavioural, psychological and social difficulties. We are a specialist Independent living social care and support service. We take a bolder approach than most social care agencies because we are committed to helping people make the best of themselves and the most of their lives. ubu believes that if you treat a person as they are and they will remain as they are. When you treat a person as they could be and they will become as they should be. We encourage and enable everyone we serve, whatever their ability and background, to have the chance to achieve what they want. And we believe that the best way to help people reach their dreams, is to enable them to achieve independence and take their place as active and respected citizens. ubu puts the person we are working with at the centre of everything we do. We listen, then we act, facing problems head-on and work to find realistic solutions. Our approach is to offer minimal and unobtrusive support. We are committed to enabling citizenship and to transforming people’s lives.
