Wirral Met College provides high quality education and training to help individuals improve their skills and career prospects. We work with a wide range of public and private sector organisations to deliver flexible, customised training and development and apprenticeship programmes. Wirral Met College is the largest training provider in Wirral. In September 2015, our new Wirral Waters Campus opened in Birkenhead, dedicated to Construction & the Built Environment, and is home to our Employer Services team. This complements our Conway Park and Twelve Quays Campuses in Birkenhead, and The Oval Campus in Bebington. Our new Science, Technology, Engineering & Maths (STEM) Centre opened in June 2016 with specialist science laboratories, engineering equipment and robotics / mechatronics resources. We have excellent partnerships with the University of Chester, the University of Liverpool and University of Central Lancashire (UCLan) providing high quality, value for money university level courses including Higher National Certificate (HNC), Higher National Diploma (HND), Foundation Degree and Degree programmes. We also provide a wide range of Continuing Professional Development programmes. Wirral Met is the largest provider of level two, level three, higher and degree level apprenticeships in Wirral. We work with local employers to offer apprenticeships and traineeships, work experience placements, supported internships and continuing professional development. Our Apprenticeships & Business Networks team supports organisations across the Liverpool City Region with training needs analysis and can advise on funding opportunities to support investment in workforce development, in order to provide a tangible return on investment.
